Dr. Kesel is originally from Biloxi, Mississippi, but has lived in 8 different states.
She received her undergraduate degree in biomedical science from Northern Arizona University, attended Ross University for veterinary school, and completed her clinical year of study at Michigan State University.
As a kid she was either watching Animal Planet and or checking out books about specific dog breeds. Dr. Kesel loves all breeds and species, and some of her favorite memories from vet school are working with tigers, giant aldabras, and red pandas at the Detroit Zoo.
Dr. Kesel has special interests in soft tissue surgery, ultrasonography, and connecting with clients over a mutual love for their pets. She is working towards completing her certification in acupuncture and is excited to start offering this to her patients by the end of the year.
Her other hobbies include spoiling her shepherd mix/best friend/son O'Neill, crafting, baking, eating, and laughing at herself while being bad at sports.
