Dr. Robin Lake has been part of the Foster Animal Hospital team since 2001.
Dr. Robin Lake originally studied engineering at the University of Florida. Although enjoying the analytical thinking of this field, she sought a more meaningful connection with work. As a child she had avidly collected stuffed animals and papered her walls with pet posters; she later loved real animals of all kinds and found many of them liked her back. Veterinary school seemed a natural choice. She went back to UF for her veterinary degree and has found a perfect combination: helping pets and their people, solving new challenges every day, and doing work that often feels like play.
One of her favorite aspects of the job is meeting patients as puppies and kittens, then getting to know them and their families over the years. It's rewarding to care for pets through every life stage.
Aside from all things animal-related, Dr. Lake's interests include gardening, runDisney, photography, and the outdoors. She shares a home with her husband, two daughters, and two canine sons, standard poodle Dash and Havanese Franklin.
